Here's why:

We are people who passionately believe that God's presence is for a purpose. The church wasn't made to be a religious club that only serves itself. To borrow from the words of Billy Graham, God has given us "two hands, one with which to receive and one with which to give."

We believe that God wants us to love the people of Cedar Rapids in practical ways and give away what He has given to us. We want you to know that you matter to God.

We also know that we are fighting an uphill battle. To many, followers of Jesus have not done a great job of caring for their neighbors, their city, their environment, and their world...so we're giving it a shot.
